Images of Iwo Jima, 1955

Across from Base Ops. (Webmaster note: The three structures starting with the domed structure on far left were the weather detachment work area. Dome was where the tracking radar was located. The second building (small) was where the tracking equipment and work area was located. The large building is where the balloon was filled with helium prior to attaching a radiosonde package prior to release.)
